科技论文写作是科研工作的重要组成部分，发表高水平的研究论文是反映科研工作成果和学术交流的重要手段。我国目前年产出SCI论文数量已达到11.2万篇，位居世界第2， 但发表在高水平期刊上的研究论文数量有限，大量论文徘徊在影响因子较低的期刊。缺乏系统正规的科学论文写作训练，无法将优秀的科研成果转化为高水平的研究论文；对国际高水平期刊缺乏了解，不会选刊、缺乏技巧都是造成这一现象的重要原因。

    中国生态学学会《生态学报》编辑部举办“科技论文写作与出版培训班”，邀请具有20多年从业经验的国际专职SCI期刊编辑讲授英文文章写作；邀请国际期刊主编传授主流国际期刊的投稿、审查、修改经验；邀请具有丰富SCI投稿发表经验的专家进行论文案例分析以及经验分享。切实提高科研人员论文写作的能力，从根本上解决目前面临的写作难、投稿难、发表更难的问题。

    主讲专家简介：

    Dr. Susan C. Silver – Editor-in-Chief, Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment

    Sue Silver received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at Bedford College, London, in 1977 and went on to do a PhD in comparative neurophysiology and animal behavior, which she completed in 1980. After three years of postdoctoral research she switched to science publishing. She began as a sub-editor at Academic Press, working on many different titles, and then went on to become Assistant Editor on The British Dental Journal. She was appointed Editor of the journal Biologist, published by the UK’s Institute of Biology, for 6 years, and also became Head of the Journals Department. In January 2000, she was chosen to develop, launch, and edit The Lancet Oncology, the first of a series of specialty review journals for the Lancet Publishing Group.

    In 2002, she left the UK for the United States, to develop, launch, and edit Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment, published by the Ecological Society of America. Now in its tenth year, Frontiers is ranked second out of 192 journals in the Journal Citation Reports Environmental Science Category, and is read by ecologists and environmental scientists around the world.

    Dr. Philippa J. Benson - Director of Education and Author Services, The Charlesworth Group

    Dr. Benson received her B.A. from Oberlin College in 1979, her Masters from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in 1984, and her Ph.D. from CMU in 1994. Philippa was invited by the Chinese State Education Commission to teach as a “Foreign Expert” in technical communication in 1986 and taught for two years at the prestigious Shanghai Jiaotong University. Since that time she has returned to China regularly by invitation to teach technical communication and scientific publishing at top universities and research centers around the country.

    Philippa’s doctoral studies covered research on cognitive processes of reading, writing, and technical information design by both native and non-native speakers of English. She has developed and taught a wide array of science and professional writing courses at CMU as well as at the University of Pittsburgh, the National Institutes of Health, and Georgetown University. Currently, Philippa is the Director of Education and Author Services at The Charlesworth Group, where she focuses on designing and implementing training and educational programs. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Publishing Program at the George Washington University in Washington DC.

    加利福尼亚大学河滨分校（University of California at Riverside）生态学终身教授，国际生态与可持续发展研究中心主任，国际干旱区生态学研究中心联合主任。

    国际《Ecological Complexity》杂志主编，《Journal of Arid Land》杂志联合主编，《Acta Ecologica Sinica (International Journal)》副主编, 还担任其他的7家国际生态与环境科学期刊和百科全书的编委或常务编委。
