The distributional rule of canopy gaps of Larix gmelinii forests in Daxinganling, Heilongjiang Province, was studied using wavelet analysis. The results obtained are as follows: The optimum scale of wavelet transformation for estimating the percent of gap distribution in transect of forests is 10 meters.
