Abstract:Abstract: Green infrastructure, as a natural life support system, is an important way to solve ecological problems under rapid urbanization. It plays an indispensable role in optimizing urban environment and ecosystem service functions, maintaining ecological security and promoting sustainable development. At present, there is a lack of quantitative analysis and visualization research on green infrastructure. To understand the research status and hotspots of green infrastructure at home and abroad, and find the gap between domestic and foreign, this paper selected 1137 related papers on “ Web of Science” and 439 related papers on “ China National Knowledge Infrastructure” from 2000 to 2020. All the papers were used to analyze the number of articles, geographical distribution, co-cited journal, co-cited author, research hotspots and trends by CiteSpace. The results showed that:(1) The popularity of green infrastructure abroad continues to rise and the number of papers increases rapidly year by year. However, domestic research started late and the number of articles lagged behind foreign countries. China showed higher engagement in this field, but its influence was smaller than that of the United States and the United Kingdom. (2) Due to the differences in political systems, economic development of different countries, the geographical distribution of papers was uneven, which mainly concentrated in developed countries. (3) Foreign research disciplines were more diversified and systematic, and research perspectives tend to be diversified and multidisciplinary, while domestic research lacked cooperation and depth. Compared with foreign institutions, there was less cooperation and exchange among domestic institutions. Furthermore, there was no stable author group among core authors, and the intra-group communication and cooperation among authors were becoming more frequent. (4) The relationship of green infrastructure and biodiversity, human health and well-being, climate change and other hot issues were the hotspots of research abroad. Domestic research focused on traditional perspectives such as urban planning, ecosystem services and ecological network. However, there have been changes in the research direction, and the characteristic key words in recent years were rural revitalization and human settlements. Based on this, this paper put forward suggestions to enrich the content and perspective of green infrastructure by summarizing the main characteristics, development and future trends. From the aspects of research contents and perspectives, the research trends were discussed and some references and guidances for green infrastructure management in domestic were provided.
