    Abstract:

Abstract:The 3rd International Conference on Hydropedology was held on August 28 - August 29, 2016 in Beijing Normal University, China. This Conference was a great success with 150 professors and scholar from 18 countries. Discussion on hydropedology in the conference mainly from seven aspects: (1) Soil architecture and preferential flow; (2) Observation and simulation of science of earth’s Critical Zone; (3) Process of cross in soil hydrology and eco-hydrology; (4) Critical zone science and observatory; (5) Soil biophysical and biochemical complex; (6) Hydropedology and ecohydrology; (7) Soil moisture and other soil properties. The following aspects are the revelation of this workshop on China’s research of hydropedology: (1) Promoting theory in monitoring, mechanism, mapping, modeling and management applications; (2) Strengthen the new technology in hydropedology applications; (3) Paying more attention to educating scientists with multidisciplinary knowledge; (4) Development international cooperation on hydropedology.
