Abstract:The second United Nations Environment Assembly was held on May 23 - 27, 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya, with the overarching theme of Delivering on the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Over 2,500 delegates from 174 countries attended the meeting. The latest global, regional and national developments related to the environment was concerned and the first global platform for reviewing progress on the sustainable development goals, particularly their environmental dimensions was provided. 25 landmark Resolutions were adopted to drive sustainability agenda at the meeting. For China, economic transition and development of ecological civilization was needed to be accelerated during the implementation of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to achieve the beautiful China and sustainable development goals.
