Accordiny to the characters of small watershed and its management on the loess plateau,the index system and method to evaluate the control benefits were raised.Other 8 indexes of 4 categoies including productivity,equiliprium,stability and sustainability were also developed to appreciate the condition of small watershed in each stage systematically and wholy.Huangjia Ercha watershed was taken as example.
