By using capture-mark-recapture and Jolly-Seber methods, some population parameters of C .triton and C.barabensis in Hebei, China, were estimated in 1986 and 1988.It was found that the"survival rate"(including mortality and dispersal) of C.triton was smaller than that of C. barobensis and negatively related to population density. Both C. triton and C. barabensis showed equal probability of being trapped despite of different times of being trapped before.
