Abstract:Resting metabolic rate (RMR) of common teal ( Anas crecca) , shoveller (Anas clypeata) , and spotbill duck (Areas poecilorhycha) wintering in Tai Hu lake, Jiangsu province (31°N, 120°E) were determined at ambient temperatures of 6℃, 8℃, 10℃, 12℃, 14℃, 16℃, 18℃, 20℃, 25℃, 30℃ in three different seasons (autumn, winter, spring). The results showed that the relationships between RMR and temperatures in the three species were linear regression. The slopes of regression equations for autumn and winter were signi...
