Abstract:The conflict between limited natural resources and growing population makes it extremely difficult to apply a conservation strategy that requires the largest land area for biodiversity conservation. By integrating the BMAS (Biodiversity Management Areas Selection) model with GIS, one can streamline the strategy to determine the minimum area for a given level of biodiversity conservation within a region.
