DNA fingerprinting was applied extensively abroad on animal behavioral research from the late of 1980's,especially on animal reproductive behavior research.But it is rarely conducted in our country.This article reviewed the appliance of DNA fingerprinting on animal behavioral research,and introduced its method,applied examples,advantages,and disadvantages,etc.
